Greek Tzatziki

Ever since I travelled to Rhodes, Greece last year I’ve been obsessed with tzatziki! Not only is it high protein but the added garlic helps boost your immune system! Friends, you’re in for a treat because I was able to get a HOMEMADE recipe from one of the Greek women I met whilst travelling 🤩! Every island has their own take on tzatziki so you’ll have to let me know what you think of this one!

Ingredients

➼ 500ml Greek yoghurt (make sure it’s strained not just “Greek style” for the best texture) ⁣⠀⠀
➼ ½ large cucumber, grated ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➼ 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➼ 1/4 cup olive oil ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➼ S+p to taste ⁣⠀⠀⠀

Method

  1. Force the excess the water out of the grated cucumber by squeezing it in a dishcloth/nut milk bag. Let sit for 10 mins then wring out again using the same method⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  2. Blend olive oil and garlic together and add to yoghurt⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  3. Mix cucumber into yoghurt mixture and add s+p⁣⠀⠀⠀
