2-4-1 Vegan Chickpea Protein Squares+ Balls
Do you find that SO many of the protein balls/bars on the market are packed with dates and/or just made of nuts?
Well these babies are completely NUT, GLUTEN, and, DATE FREE!
Ingredients
➼ 400g can of chickpeas
➼ 80g vegan vanilla protein powder (I use @sfnutrition …use code KEARA20 for 20% off!)
➼ 60 ml nut mylk
➼ 60 ml maple syrup
➼ 1/4 tsp salt
➼ 100g dark chocolate
➼ 1 tsp coconut oil
➼ 2 tbsp hemp hearts (optional)
Directions
1. Mix first 5 ingredients together in a food processor until a cookie dough batter-like texture is formed
2. Over a pot of boiling water melt chocolate and coconut oil
3, Oil a square pan and push chickpea mix into it so it's about 2 inches thick. Top with chocolate mix and put in freezer for 2 hours
4. For squares= remove from freezer and slice
5. For balls= put in fridge for 1 hour then use hand to break apart the batter/chocolate and roll into balls, rolling in hemp hearts to finish
